What Happens to What You Send

Plain English, and only what's actually set up on this site today.

Last reviewed: Oct 13, 2026

What We Collect

Only what you type into the contact form:

  • Your name and email address (required)
  • Your ZIP code (optional)
  • The topic you pick and your message
  • The date and time it arrived, plus a random ID so it can be found later

We do not store your IP address with your message. Your IP address is briefly held in the website's memory to limit spam (a few messages per 10 minutes), and that is cleared when the site restarts. Like most web servers, the server's standard access logs record IP addresses and pages requested.

Where It's Stored and Who Can See It

Messages are saved to a file on the website's own server, outside the public part of the site. The file is readable only by the server's administrator account. It is not published or shared, and not sold.

If an email or webhook delivery service is set up later, messages would also be sent through it, and this page will be updated to name it.

Analytics, Cookies, and Tracking

This site does not use third-party analytics, advertising trackers, or tracking cookies.

How Long We Keep It

[TO BE PROVIDED BY LINNY: retention period for contact-form messages (for example, how many months before deletion)]

Asking for Deletion

Use the contact form and choose “Request deletion of something I sent.” Use the same email address you used before so we can find it.

The Fine Print
